Stabler has applied for a number of head coaching positions and has coached on the sidelines in Southwest Florida for more than a decade.
He was “elated” when he was chosen to take Moore’s place because of this.
According to Stabler, “Once one door closes, I was always taught to continue to knock until one opens.”
The committee selected three candidates from 37 applicants for the opening.
Marciano said that Stabler’s “passion and enthusiasm” stood out.

According to Marciano, the committee came to an unanimous decision despite the difficult decision.
Last season, the King’s went 3-5, with two victories coming from forfeits. The program will enter its 14th season under Stabler.
