High school football is widely supported in the State of Michigan by the Detroit Lions of the National Football League.
The team will take submissions from clubs in need of helmets, practice gear, uniforms, as well as grant money to assist things like repairs and field amenities, throughout the course of the upcoming month.

Each school, only one application should be submitted.

FAQ’s
Who is eligible to nominate a school?
One application should be filed each program by coaching and administrative staff (e.g., a coach, athletic director, member of the football staff, trainer, etc.).
How are nominations going to be judged?
The evaluation of nominations will take into account the proved need, the merit, the presence of an engaging narrative, and the anticipated impact.
Who should I contact with questions about my application?
If you have any questions, send an email to [email protected] with the subject “Touchdown in Your Town” in it.
Can I fill out a portion of the application then return to complete it?
However, there is no way to save just a section of the application and come back to it later.
When answering all of the questions, we advise pasting the questions into a word document and typing your answers there before pasting them into the form.
Can I nominate a school that has previously benefited from the Touchdown in Your Town initiative?
Only Michigan high school football programs that haven’t previously benefited from this program can submit nominations for the 2023 Touchdown in Your Community initiative.
When will I find out whether my nomination was chosen?
Notifications have not yet been scheduled, but we believe that they will occur in late April or early May 2023 for the schools that have been chosen.
When will resources and/or equipment be provided if chosen?
We are unable to provide an exact date for the delivery of equipment and resources, but we will make every effort to do so as quickly as possible after the recipients have been chosen.
Is it possible to nominate a program more than once?
No.
Only one individual per school/program is required to complete the form, please.
Can I submit a camp or tournament application?
Only football teams from high schools in Michigan may apply.
What is the cutoff date for program nominations?
The deadline for applications is Monday, April 17 at 11:59 p.m.
What number of schools will be chosen?
There is no set limit on the number of schools that can be chosen.
The nominations that were submitted will determine this decision.
